Profoods/Propack 2011 stimulates Sri Lanka's economic growth

Issue of LG Elections Preference Numbers from today

ElectionDeptSri Lanka's Elections Secretariat said that issuing of preference numbers  to the candidates contesting the Local Government Elections will commence from  today.  Preference numbers will be issued to the leaders of political parties or group representatives. 18 recognized political parties and 143 independent groups will contest the forth coming Local Government Elections.

"Saubagya" Concessionary Loan scheme for Industrialists

The Central Bank has introduced a new loan scheme titled “Saubagya” to provide financial assistance to small and medium term entrepreneurs.  The State Banks and other banks extend loans under this programme at a concessionary interest rate of 9 percent.
